OLD FORGE -- Voters in a borough in Lackawanna County chose to bring in a young, fresh face in Tuesday's election.

Devon Brown, an 18-year-old high school student, won a spot on Old Forge Borough Council.

Newswatch 16 caught up with the young man after he got out school.  He said winning took a team effort from his family.

"It was a grassroots campaign. We knocked on doors, myself, my grandmother, my mother, my aunt.  It was a close-knit family campaign," said Brown.

Brown says he initially ran for council because he feels Old Forge needs a youth movement.
