WEST CHILLISQUAQUE TOWNSHIP— A two-car crash left one person dead Tuesday morning in Northumberland County.

According to police, the crash happened around 8:30 a.m. in West Chillisquaque Township near Milton, when Megan Dilick, 22, of Millville lost control of her car, crossed the center line on Route 45, and hit a minivan head-on.

Officials said the driver of the minivan was a critical care doctor at Geisinger, and he tried saving Dilick at the scene.

Police said Dilick died at the hospital.

Dilick was wearing her seat belt, and there is no word if she was speeding, according to state police.

PennDOT said Route 45 in Northumberland County was closed while crews cleaned up after the crash.
