One Dead After Explosion, Fire At Lake Harmony

KIDDER TOWNSHIP — Officials now say one person did not make it out of a Carbon County home after an explosion and fire.

Crews were called out Monday afternoon around 2 p.m. to the home at the Lake Harmony Estates housing development. The place is destroyed.

Neighbors say an explosion shook their homes.

A state police fire marshal said a man and a woman were taken to the hospital.

Smoke from the fire could be seen for miles.

The fire marshal said the cause of the explosion and fire has not been determined.

The name of the victim has not been released.
