Turkey Run for Fun 5K in Pottsville benefits Keystone Wounded Warriors & St. Jude’s Ranch for children. The 5K Run, and a 1 Mile Run/Walk, starts and ends at Martz Hall on N. 16th Street on Sunday, Nov. 17. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. with the 5K at 11 a.m. and the 1 mile Fun Run at 11:45 a.m. Awards are given to the 3 top winners in age & gender categories. “FUR” is Falling! Vaccine Clinic and Adoption Day
In Monroe County, the “FUR” is Falling! Vaccine Clinic and Adoption Day benefits Relay for Life. It’s held at Creatures Comfort Veterinary Service on Old Route 115 in Saylorsburg on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Vaccines are for Rabies & Distemper and the micro chips will also be available. Animals must be on a leash or in a crate. Many cats & kittens are looking for fur-ever homes.
