Arson Arrest in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE — One person is in jail after setting fire to his own home in Luzerne County, according to Wilkes-Barre Police.

Police said they were dispatched to Stanton Street in Wilkes-Barre just after 2:00 a.m. Saturday, for reports of a person acting out.

According to officials, the house was on fire when they arrived on scene.

Zachery Chromey was arrested after admitting he set the house on fire.

Chromey is in Lackawanna County Correctional Facility, charged with two counts of arson, and is awaiting arraignment.
