Public Square Improvement Project Complete
WILKES-BARRE — A project to improve the appearance of downtown Wilkes-Barre is complete.
City officials held a ribbon cutting Thursday morning on Public Square.
About $1.2 million in state money was used to upgrade sidewalks, plant trees, and add benches along parts of the square.
Leaders tell us they’re working to get more money to fix up the rest of Public Square in downtown Wilkes-Barre.
