WILKES-BARRE — Victims of an attorney accused of stealing millions from clients will get some of their money back.
The chief justice of Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court announced Wednesday that 47 investors allegedly cheated by Wilkes-Barre attorney Anthony Lupas will receive $3.25 million from a court fund.
Lupas was indicted by federal investigators last year for the alleged scheme. Investigators said he stole millions of dollars from his investors.
A judge still has to decide if Lupas is competent to stand trial.
