WILKES-BARRE -- A man convicted of murder is trying to appeal in Luzerne County.
A court filing says James Strong wants his conviction reviewed by the Pennsylvania Superior Court.
He was convicted in 2011 for the death of John Strock and sentenced to life in prison.
Prosecutors said Strong was hitchhiking along Interstate 81 near Mountain Top in August 1983. They say that's when Strong killed the victim after Strock picked him up.
