Wilkes-Barre Bridge Closed After Inspection
WILKES-BARRE — A neighborhood bridge in Wilkes-Barre will be closed until further notice.
Signs and barriers were put in place to restrict access to the North Washington Street Bridge between Pennsylvania Avenue and East Chestnut Street.
An inspection on the bridge found issues with its superstructure and is in need of repairs.
There is no word on how long the closure will be in place.
