LAKEVILLE — A world record attempt in Wayne County will go into the Guinness Book of Records.
Rich Daly of Long Island, New York put his chainsaw to the test Sunday when he tried to become the world’s fastest ice carver.
Sculpted Ice Works in Lakeville hosted the event and a Guinness official was on hand to monitor the attempt.
Daly had to carve at least 60 ice sculptures in about four hours to beat the world record.
In the end, Daly demolished the previous time, carving five dozen sculptures in just two hours and 52 minutes.
