SCRANTON — A former Scranton couple are going to federal prison for stealing from the estate of a dead relative.
Tamara Santarelli and her husband Victor were part of a scheme that ended up taking all the assets and home of Victor’s aunt.
Tamara was sentenced Thursday to 70 months in prison and three years of supervised release.
Victor Santarelli, was sentenced to 57 months in prison and three years of supervised release. The judge also ordered that both defendants jointly pay $74,390.55 in restitution.
Back in 2011, Tamara Santarelli was sentenced after pleading no contest for a fire at her home and a campground she owned at the time in Susquehanna County.
