NANTICOKE — Charges have been filed against two people from Luzerne County in connection with a bar fight that left one woman wounded after she was slashed in the face.
It happened in January of 2012 at the Prospect Street Cafe in Nanticoke.
Assault and obstruction charges were filed Thursday against Melanie Figueroa and Jamil Tucker, both of Nanticoke.
The bar in Nanticoke has since shut down.
Figueroa is charged with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and purchasing alcohol as a minor.
Tucker is charged with furnishing liquor to a minor and obstructing emergency services.
Nanticoke police say the two were charged for their roles in a big fight at the Prospect Street Cafe but police have not determined who slashed the woman’s face.
