LERAYSVILLE — Assault charges have been filed against a man from Bradford County after police say he stabbed another man with a large knife.
Mario Ramirez, 43, reportedly told police he had been drinking when he stabbed Carlos Villatoro around 1:45 a.m. Sunday at a home in Leraysville near Towanda.
Villatoro was taken to the hospital with slashes to his head and shoulder.
Officers said they found Ramirez about two hours later, hiding in a basement.
