WILKES-BARRE — A man wanted for several crimes in the Wilkes-Barre area is in custody.

Police said a Wilkes-Barre resident tipped them off to the location of Peter Naperkowski.

That resident said he held Naperkowski at gunpoint on Andover Street until officers arrived.

Wilkes-Barre Police wanted Naperkowski for a robbery at the Hazle Mart on Hazle Street on October 7.

Officers said the suspect fled to Kmart in Edwardsville, ran into the store, and was finally caught Wednesday night in Wilkes-Barre.
