Craft 1-

OMBRE LEAF MONOGRAM

Need:
Wooden Letter Cut-Out
Foam Brush
Modge Podge
Collection of real or fake leaves

Steps:

1.       Pick a variety of colors of fall leaves directly from the trees.

2.       Dry out leaves for 1.5 to 2 weeks.  To dry leaves, press between two sheets of wax paper and place in shut book for about 2 weeks.

3.       To create ombre, divide leaves into like-colors.  Put them in the order of which the ombre will go.  You can go from light to dark, dark to light or a rainbow ombre (dark red, red, red/orange, orange, yellow, yellow green, green, dark green)

4.       With foam brush, paint small section of wooden letter with modge podge.

5.       Place first set of leaves on top of modge podge.

6.       Brush another layer of modge podge over the leaves.

7.       Repeat steps 4 to 6.

 Craft 2-

Natural Pigment Foliage Prints

Need:
Watercolor Paper
Wooden Cutting Board
Small Hammer
Collection of real leaves
scotch tape (optional)

Steps:

1.       Pick a variety of styles and colors of leaves directly from trees.

2.       Arrange leaves on watercolor paper.  Tape down lightly.

3.       Place paper over cutting board or hard, flat surface

4.       Starting at one end of the leaf and going to the other, hammer every centimeter of leaf to release natural pigment onto paper.

5.       Lift leaves from paper and tap excess leaf pieces off.

6.       Matte and frame.

Craft 3-

Leaf Collage

Need:
Collection of real or fake leaves
Old Book or Musical Pages
Foam Brush
Modge Podge

Steps:

1.       Pick a variety of colors of fall leaves directly from the trees.

2.       Dry out leaves for 1.5 to 2 weeks.  To dry leaves, press between two sheets of wax paper and place in shut book for about 2 weeks.

3.       Tear a page of an old book out.

4.       Brush a layer of modge podge over the book page.

5.       Lay leaf onto page and brush a layer of modge podge over the leaf.

6.       Matte and frame.
