Crash Turned Deadly in Carbon County

MAHONING TOWNSHIP ---A man has died from his injuries after a car crash in Carbon County last Friday.

Police say William Graver, 83, of Lehighton was pulling out of the parking lot of the Times News when it collided with another vehicle on State Route 443 in Mahoning Township.

A passenger in the victim's car and the driver of the other vehicle were also rushed to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

Police said none of the people involved wore a seat belt in the deadly crash in Carbon County.

    I’m far from being a teenager, so my opinion has nothing to do with my own age, In fact I’m a decade and a few years away from being 80 myself. Having stated that, I think this is another example why older people should be required to take yearly driving tests. I would have no problem with that and it might just save lives.
