DINGMANS FERRY — A man from Pike County was sentenced to prison for stealing from a soccer organization.
Daniel Deets was sentenced to one to eight years in state prison after pleading guilty to theft charges.
Investigators said between February 2011 and July 2012, Deets used a credit card belonging to the Eastern Pike Soccer Club to make cash withdrawals and personal purchases of nearly $20,000.
At the time, Deets was treasurer of the soccer club.
Along with the prison sentence, Deets was also ordered to pay a fine and pay back $19,809.
