House Destroyed in Blaze

COAL TOWNSHIP — Two homes went up in flames Wednesday night in Northumberland County.

Heavy flames and thick smoke could be seen pouring from the home on North Berry Street in Coal Township, near Shamokin.

The fire started around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

So far officials tell Newswatch 16 there are no reports of any injuries at this time.

The cause of the fire is under investigation in Northumberland County.

Newswatch 16 spoke to the people who lived in one of the homes.
