SCRANTON — A bar in downtown Scranton popular for its nightlife was not able to open Tuesday night.

Backyard Ale House along Linden Street will be closed temporarily until repairs can be made to their roof.

According to the bar’s Facebook page, a chunk of facade from a wall of Mulligan’s Sports Bar fell Tuesday afternoon and punctured the roof of Backyard Ale House.

As a result, backyard ale house announced it could not open due to safety concerns.  The date of reopening has not been released.
