SCRANTON -- In Lackawanna County, there was an educational event for the family over the weekend.

The fourth annual Touch a Truck took place in Nay Aug Park in Scranton Saturday afternoon.

The goal was for children to experience and learn the different vehicles used in the county as well as teaching several safety tips to families.

Local police and fire crews gave special demonstrations including first aid and energy conservation.

The Touch a Truck is sponsored by the Junior League of Scranton.

In Luzerne County, it was a picture-perfect day to inspire young artists in Wilkes-Barre.

The third annual ChalkFest was held in the city Saturday afternoon.

The free event was held at the River Common.  Kids of all ages could pick up some chalk and add their creations to the sidewalk.

There were also several art exhibits and live entertainers.

Citizens Bank helped sponsor the event.

The chalk festival was rescheduled due to rain last weekend in Wilkes-Barre.
