SCRANTON — The man at the center of a murder-for-hire plot pleaded guilty Monday.
Edward McLaughlin, 64, of Florida admits conspiring with a man from Scranton in order to kill McLaughlin’s ex-wife.
McLaughlin says he offered a job to Gary Williams of Scranton if Williams would murder his ex-wife.
Authorities foiled the plot before the murder was carried out.
Last month, Williams was convicted on related charges.
McLaughlin faces life in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for January.
