The state attorney general’s office has withdrawn a charge against former state senator Bob Mellow of Lackawanna County.
The charge that was dropped had to do with Mellow not reporting a dinner in his honor in a campaign report in 2007.
Mellow still faces seven more serious charges in an alleged pay to play scandal.
He is currently serving time in federal prison for mail fraud and filing a false tax return.
