WILKES-BARRE — A section of sidewalk in downtown Wilkes-Barre is roped off because of a facade in danger of falling.

The sidewalk at the corner of West Market and South Franklin Streets is closed.

City officials say a small part of the facade on a vacant building is loose and could fall.

The sidewalk will remain closed until the building’s owner makes repairs.
