POTTER COUNTY — A crash on Route 6 in north central Pennsylvania killed a young girl from Wyoming County. The crash happened Thursday afternoon, September 12.

State police at Coudersport say the four-year-old girl from Meshoppen was in a car driven by her mother, Kelly Bresnahan, 23, also of Meshoppen.

Troopers say Bresnahan lost control on a curve on Route 6 in Potter County and hit two pickup trucks coming the other way.

The four-year-old girl died at the hospital. Bresnahan and a three-year-old boy, who troopers identified as Bresnahan’s son, were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. State police said both children were in safety seats.

Another passenger in the car, Tiffany Kowalewski, 27, of Factoryville, was also hurt and taken to the hospital.

The driver of one pickup truck had to be treated at the hospital. The driver of the other pickup involved in the crash in Potter County was not hurt.
