SCRANTON — The building that housed Farley’s Restaurant in downtown Scranton for years has been sold for $475,000.

Convenient Food Marts bought the property but plans are to make it different than most convenient marts, something like an urban market with a produce and dairy section, a deli and six pack shop.

The new store also plans to offer grocery deliveries to people who live in downtown Scranton.

The new owners have planned a auction to sell all the kitchen equipment on September 23 and then plan to start renovating.

Farley’s closed in 2012.
