Troopers: Thief Admits to Attempted Robbery

SIMPSON — State police in Lackawanna County said they arrested a would-be robber Tuesday night.

Officer say Kevin Marsden, 39, from Carbondale was wearing a mask when he tried to knock off Dollar General in Simpson around 8:30 p.m.

Troopers said a worker called 911 when she saw him acting suspicious.

When police arrived they claim the man confessed to the crime.
