State Police Investigate Shot Dog In Wyoming County

NOXEN TOWNSHIP — State police are investigating a case of alleged animal abuse in Noxen Township.

Authorities say a 1-year old German shepherd/ beagle mix named Romeo wandered away from his home on Dimmick Hill Road. That’s when investigators say the dog was shot twice, once in the leg and once in the ear.

The dog was treated for its injuries and is expected to survive but the cost for his medical care was more than $5,000.
