CAMPTOWN---Residents who live in Camptown, Bradford County now have to drive out of town to use the post office.

Over the weekend officials said someone crashed a pickup truck into the building.

"I think it looks like a disaster. I really don't understand any of it. I really don't understand how anyone could do it. But it happened and it's sad," Ashley Hillard of Canton said.

Postal officials said the crash happened sometime after 11 p.m. on Saturday.

Postal officials said the male suspect fled on foot from the scene.

Officials said the truck was left in the building, where there was extensive damage.

Hillard said it's hard to believe that the post office was hit by vehicles twice in one month.

"For it to get hit twice in one month is kind of outrageous," Hillard said.

Officials with the postal inspector's office said they are investigating this case with state police in Towanda.

Postal officials said police have a suspect in question.

State police in Towanda told Newswatch 16 that there is no news release on the investigation.

Residents who live in Camptown will have to drive to Stevensville, about five miles away to pick up their mail and to send off packages.

"I'm going to have to take my packages here everyday unless I arrange for the post office to pick them up from the house. So now I just have to wait until they're open or find another post office to drop my packages off," Rebekkah Stubbe of Camptown said.

Postal officials said that the building is likely a total loss.

Postal officials are unsure if they rebuild the building which is currently located along Route 409.
