WAYMART- Dozens of dogs were taken from a home in Wayne county early Saturday morning.

A complaint about barking led to the discovery of the dogs at the home along Route 296 in Waymart.

A Humane Society officer says a total of 55 dogs were taken, including a litter of puppies that are only a few days old.

Police in Waymart say they are investigating this case of animal hoarding and no charges have been filed.

Officials at the Dessin Animal Shelter say, the dogs are not available for adoption yet.
