SHEATOWN -- A benefit was held Sunday in Sheatown, near Nanticoke to help families with sick children.
It was the 13th year for the "Valley with a Heart" event.
This year's event focused to help four kids from Luzerne County: Four-month-old Eva Kilduff, 1-year-old Ella Rose Powell, 1-year-old Isabella Hunsinger and 2-year-old Michael McCue.
Their families said the outpouring of support is amazing.
"It's overwhelming. It's really overwhelming. I don't think. It hasn't really hit us. It's just wonderful. We appreciate it beyond words," said Lynea Carey of Kingston.
Raffles, food, games and vendors were set up to help raise money at today's event.
In the past, "The Valley with a Heart" benefit has given a $250,000 dollars to local families with sick kids.
