MAHONING TOWNSHIP --- A man in Carbon County said he woke up to a scary situation earlier this month.
He awoke to a would-be burglar rummaging through his house.
Having no clue who was in his home, the man grabbed a candlestick, chased the alleged crook through the kitchen and struck the suspect with the candle holder.
Police say the burglary happened on Jamestown Street near Lehighton on August 4th.
Officers charged Michael Tascher, 27, of Lehighton with burglary and criminal trespass.
