PLYMOUTH — Authorities in Luzerne County filed charges in a hit and run case.

The District Attorney’s office filed charges Friday against Melinda Shoppel.

Authorities believe she was the driver in a crash in along East main Street in Plymouth back in March.

Police say a car hit William Goulstone and Shoppel hopped out of that car and ran.

Goulstone had to be hospitalized for his injuries.

Shoppel was released on bail and will be back in court next week to face charges during a preliminary hearing.
