MOOSIC — The New York Yankees have announced that their captain Derek Jeter will be back at PNC Field in Moosic for round two of his rehab assignment.
It was just seven weeks ago that Jeter first took the diamond with the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders as he rehabbed his surgically repaired left ankle.
Not only did the RailRiders win four of their five games while Jeter was in town but they also played for sold out crowds at their newly renovated stadium.
Soon after his return to the Bronx, Jeter strained his calf muscle which brings him back to Moosic once again.
Jeter is slated to play five innings Thursday night as the RailRiders take on the Pawtucket Red Sox.
