U.S. marshals say they have arrested a man wanted in connection with the severe beating and robbery of another man in Monroe County.

Marshals say they caught William Mcrae in New York City.

Authorities believe the victim responded to a Craigslist posting and made arrangements online to meet a woman near Blakeslee late last month.

Instead, investigators say two men jumped him, beat him with a baseball bat, pistol-whipped and robbed him.

The whereabouts of the second alleged attacker is still unknown.

There is no word yet on when Mcrae will be brought back to Pennsylvania to face charges.
