TANNERSVILLE -- A family in Monroe County honored a girl's memory by helping others.

The third annual Mady's Snow Day was held at Barley Creek Brewing Company Park in Tannersville on Sunday.

The day of fun is in memory of Madyson Law who died when she was 13 in 2010. A car rolled out of a driveway near her home in the Marshalls Creek area. It hit and killed her.

Since then, her family has hosted the snow day to remember Mady and raise money for "Mady's Angels."

"When Mady died the community really rallied around us.  They supported us in many ways, many shapes and forms. And the idea was to give back and it helps us to heal by giving back.  That was really what it was about," said M.J. Law, Madyson's father.

The girl's parents said she was active in several charities.

Money raised for Mady's Angels goes to charities or individuals who need help in Monroe County.
