UPDATE: Westbound lanes on Interstate 80 near the Mifflinville exit re-opened Tuesday around 2:30 a.m.
COLUMBIA COUNTY — A crash involving a tractor-trailer closed part of Interstate 80 in Columbia County Monday evening.
According to state police, the westbound lanes are closed at Exit 242, the Mainville/Mifflinville exit.
PennDOT expects the closure to last into early Tuesday morning.
Troopers said the wreck happened around 8:30 p.m. Monday. They said at least one tractor-trailer was involved. There was no word on injuries.
Traffic on westbound Interstate 80 is being detoured off the interstate at Exit 242 onto Route 339 and into Mifflinville, then across the river onto Route 11 south, and then back onto Interstate 80.
