KINGSTON -- About 30 soldiers returned home Saturday after spending nearly a year overseas in Kuwait.

The men and women arrived back in Luzerne County around 1:30 p.m. at the 109th Armory in Luzerne County.

For Army PFC Jason Sterner, his arrival meant meeting his daughter for the first time.

"Just back from day one thinking about this day is what got myself, and I'm pretty sure everybody else through the whole deployment," said Sterner.

More soldiers are expected to return to our area next week.
