MILLMONT — A state employee in Union County faces charges for stealing money from the government organization she worked for.
The Attorney General’s office arrested Marylinda Freyermuth Thursday.
Investigators say the woman, who worked for DCNR at the Bald Eagle State Forest office in Laurelton pocketed more than $12,000 that was collected for permits. Authorities said Freyermuth also used a credit card to make purchases for herself and her family totaling $2,614.
She faces a list of theft charges.
Freyermuth was released on $50,000 bail.
