DALLAS TOWNSHIP – School district officials said that additional security and special lesson plans are being organized before a panel of state superior judges hear arguments, as attorneys for Jerry Sandusky attempt to overturn his guilty conviction.

The appeal for the coach convicted of child sex abuse crimes will be the first of dozens of cases heard during a special two-day traveling session, scheduled to be held next month inside the Dallas High School.

District officials told Newswatch 16 that social studies teachers will decide if they want their classes to sit in on the appeal, which will be open to the public.

Even though Sandusky will remain in state prison hundreds of miles away from the appeal hearings, Superintendent Frank Galicki said there will be extra security and that all members of the public will be screened through a metal detector before they can enter the building.
