WILLIAMSPORT -- The Little League fields are ready to"play ball" and the hotels and restaurants in downtown Williamsport are ready to play host to the fans and families for the World Series.
By the end of the week, hotels expect to be booked solid. Players' parents are on the guest list and for some, it's their first time here.
"There's welcome signs everywhere, people are very friendly. They've done this a bunch of times, we haven't. They're making us feel very welcome," said Karen Cullen from Michigan.
"It's very exciting; the boys are over the moon. We can't even believe we're here, still can't believe we're here," said Maggie Vyletel from Michigan.
Talk about hospitality, for four years now Genetti Hotel and Suites has been reserving front row seats for the parents of the little leaguers so parents have the best seat in the house for the Grand Slam Parade.
"These people are coming here for the experience of a lifetime."
People come from all over the country and the world to be a part of the Little League World Series.
And for businesses in and around Billtown, it's as big a week as any all year.
"It's huge to the business community. It's the best time of the year for us. A lot of hard work, but the payoff is amazing," said Marc Schefsky of Genetti Hotel & Suites.
Especially for restaurants.
Vinnie's Italian Eatery was closed in recent years after a fire and is back open again, hoping to cash in on the Little League families and fans.
"It does make a difference. They bring extra economy in the area, not just me, for the area itself. It's great," said Vinnie Guercio.
