PALMYRA TOWNSHIP — A woman from Pike County hit by a vehicle on Sunday has died.
State police say Diane Bernstel, 56, from Paupack was hit while crossing Route 6 near Hawley on Sunday.
Bernstel was the events coordinator at Earhardt’s Waterfront Resort on Lake Wallenpaupack.
Investigators say a driver, Nancy Piotrowski of Beach Lake, did not stop and hit Bernstel, who was in a crosswalk.
The coroner has ruled Bernstel’s death an accident.
There is no word on whether the driver will face charges after the crash in Pike County.
