DUNMORE -- A group of bikers in Lackawanna County participated in a ride Sunday to honor deceased servicemen and women.

It was the seventh year for the "You Are Not Forgotten Ride" starting at North American Warhorse in Dunmore.  The Friends of the Forgotten hold the motorcycle ride every year to raise awareness for veterans, prisoners of war, and troops who went missing in action.

"When you're a veteran and you see people coming out and shaking your hand and telling you thank you for your service, it doesn't get stale. It's something you can always appreciate," said Vietnam War Veteran Dave Wenzel.

"We have many veterans here, if it wasn't for veterans we wouldn't be here today because we have to thank veterans for the freedom that we have for today," said
Dee Faatz, a member of the Friends of the Forgotten.

Organizers estimate there were more than 200 motorcycles for the "You Are Not Forgotten Ride" That led riders through the Poconos and back to Dunmore.
