Couple Taken To Hospital After Crashing Car Into Supermarket

SUGARLOAF TOWNSHIP — In Luzerne County, an elderly couple had to be taken to the hospital after the vehicle they were in crashed into grocery store near Conyngham.

It happened around five p.m. at Gould’s ShurSave supermarket on Route 93.

Officials say for an unknown reason, the couple from Pittsburgh, hit a pole attached to the building and needed to be taken to the hospital.

There was no significant damage to the supermarket.

The crash remains under investigation in Luzerne County.
