HONESDALE — Two men from Wayne County were sentenced Thursday for drug violations.
Alejandro Vela-Garrett of Newfoundland was sentenced to four to eight years for drugs and firearms violations.
Investigators said he sold prescription painkillers to an officer in Newfoundland in March. When he was arrested he had drugs, guns, and cash from the drug buy.
A judge sentenced Daniel Dibenedetto to one to four years in state prison.
Authorities said Dibenedetto sold 200 bags of heroin to a confidential informant. He was arrested in February at his home on Westside Avenue in Honesdale.
