WILKES-BARRE — Another person has been shot with a pellet gun in Luzerne County.
The latest incident happened Thursday night at St. Aloysius bazaar on Barney Street in Wilkes-Barre.
Police say a 52-year-old was shot in the back. As a result, the bazaar may close earlier on Friday as a precaution.
“It was scheduled for 11 but maybe 10:30, we might close it down a little bit earlier. We have plenty of security on hand. But that was such a random act, it’s very hard to cover yourself on those things,” said Fr. Kevin Mulhern.
Police in Luzerne County are investigating whether Thursday night’s pellet gun shooting is connected to another early Thursday morning, just blocks away in Hanover Township.
