MIDDLE SMITHFIELD TOWNSHIP — A house that had just been remodeled was leveled by fire early Tuesday in Monroe County.
Crews were called to the place on Newton Run Road in Middle Smithfield Township, near Marshals Creek around 1 a.m.
The owner says no one was living there, but he was remodeling it so his daughter could move in.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
