HARRISBURG -- Three former Penn State administrators are in court for second day, on charges they ignored child sex abuse committed by former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky.
All three former Penn State administrators were back to court in Harrisburg.
A computer expert from the state attorney general's office took the stand Tuesday morning testifying concerning email exchanges among Graham Spanier, Tim Curley and Gary Schultz as they tried to figure out what to do after learning that Jerry Sandusky was seen in the shower with a young boy.
The morning began with testimony from Lisa Powers, Penn State's public information director. She testified that she was surprised in 2011 when University President Graham Spanier continued to support athletic director Tim Curley and finance vice president Gary Schultz after they were charged by a grand jury.
Then a computer expert from the state attorney general's office testified about email exchanges among the three men that dated back to February of 2001. The emails discussed how to approach Sandusky and his charity organization The Second Mile. These emails started the day after Mike McQueary reported seeing Sandusky and a young boy engaging in sexual contact in a Penn State locker room. The emails say that they planned to talk to Sandusky's organization whether he cooperated or not, and would later tell him that he could no longer bring his guests to Penn State facilities.
