SCRANTON -- It was a happy homecoming in Scranton Saturday as some of our troops returned home.

Members of the Army National Guard flew into the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport around 12:30 p.m. before making their way to the Army Reserve Center on Olyphant Avenue in Scranton.

A motorcade led the troops into the Electric City.

These brave men and women have been serving in Kuwait for about a year. People we spoke with say it's great to be return home.

"Very excited to be back today," said Warrant Officer Michael Roberts. "It's good to see everyone supporting the troops being welcomed home."

About 50 members of the National Guard returned to our area.
