SUNBURY — A Sunbury police officer was justified in shooting a teenager in the city last month, according to the Northumberland County district attorney.
The D.A. says Naheem Reams, 17, led officers on a chase then rammed a police vehicle with his car. An officer shot Reams.
Investigators determined the officer was defending himself when he shot the boy.
Reams is out of the hospital, and held at a juvenile detention center. He has not been charged in connection with the chase.
