WILLIAMSPORT — A judge in Lycoming County sentenced a woman to more than five years in prison for bilking the government out of $1 million dollars.
According to court documents, Cheryl Cobia, 27, of Williamsport was sentenced to 70 months behind bars after she filed false tax returns between 2009 and 2011.
Authorities said Cobia also lied on applications so she could get food stamps and other benefits.
